DMRC Introduces Special Facilities for CBSE Board Exam Students

New Delhi, February 14, 2025 - In a move to support students during the crucial CBSE Board Examinations 2025, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has announced a series of special measures to ensure a smooth and hassle-free travel experience for examinees.

With approximately 3.30 lakh students and thousands of school officials expected to travel across the city from February 15 to April 4, 2025, DMRC has collaborated with the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) to implement these student-friendly initiatives:

  • Priority in Frisking and Ticketing: Students carrying their CBSE Admit Cards will be given priority during security checks at metro stations, reducing wait times and ensuring they reach their exam centers on time.
  • Preferential Seating: Special arrangements have been made at Ticket Office Machines (TOM) and Customer Care centers where students can avail of preferential seating while purchasing tickets, ensuring quick and efficient service.
  • Pre-Exam Preparations: DMRC personnel have conducted visits to schools, meeting with principals to familiarize them with the nearest metro stations and to offer assistance to students regarding their travel plans.
  • Metro Stations Near Exam Centers: A comprehensive list of metro stations closest to each exam center has been made available on the DMRC's official website and mobile app, aiding students in planning their journey.

These measures come at a time when traffic congestion and travel disruptions are common concerns during examination periods. By prioritizing student travel, DMRC aims to mitigate these issues, allowing students to focus on their exams without the added stress of commuting.

Anuj Dayal, Principal Executive Director, Corporate Communications at DMRC, emphasized the corporation's commitment to supporting students. "We understand the importance of these examinations in a student's life, and we are dedicated to providing the best possible travel experience to help them arrive at their exam centers relaxed and on schedule," he stated.

DMRC's proactive approach has been widely appreciated by students, parents, and educational institutions, who commend the initiative for its potential to significantly reduce exam-day stress.

For more information on the special facilities and to check the nearest metro stations to exam centers, students and guardians can visit the DMRC's official website or use the DMRC Momentum app.
